Christian Rehab Admissions, Step by Step
Reaching out is the hardest part, and you don’t have to know what to say. Here is exactly what happens after you call or text us, with no pressure and no commitment.
Six steps from your first call to your first morning
A private conversation
Call or text us. A real person listens first, answers your questions and never pushes. Nothing you share obligates you.
Insurance and payment
We look at your coverage or payment options together, so cost is clear before any decision.
A private assessment
A confidential conversation about what you or your loved one is facing, so we understand the whole picture.
The right level of care
We recommend the safest next step: detox, residential or another level, at Shepard & Stone or through a trusted partner.
Scheduling your arrival
We set a date and help with travel, including from out of state, so arriving is simple.
Orientation and your plan
You meet the house, the staff and your treatment plan. From day one you are known by name.
Step one takes a few minutes.
What we promise, and what we won’t
Shepard & Stone was founded against an industry that lost track of what matters. So we tell you up front.
We promise
- To answer honestly, even when the answer is “not yet”
- To listen before we recommend anything
- To help you find safe care, even if it isn’t at Shepard & Stone
- To treat you and your family with respect and love
We won’t promise
- Admission before the assessment is complete
- Insurance approval before your benefits are verified
- A bed on a specific date before scheduling
- Outcomes: recovery is a walk we take with you
Distance can be part of the healing
Many people recover best away from the places and people tied to their using. Shepard & Stone plans to welcome residents from across the country, and we’ll help you and your family plan the trip.
How families can help“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Straight answers
If your question isn’t here, call or text us. We’ll tell you the truth, even when it’s “not yet.”
Is Shepard & Stone admitting residents now?

Can I call for someone else?
Yes. Parents, spouses, friends, pastors and treatment providers call us often. We’ll walk you through how to help.
Do I need to be a Christian?

Can I come from out of state?
Yes. Shepard & Stone plans to welcome residents from outside Southern California, and we help with travel planning.
Who is a good fit?
Men and women 18 and over who are willing to pursue sobriety and can live safely in a shared home.
Your story is not over
Leave your name and number and we’ll call you back. We’ll listen, check your coverage and help you find a safe next step today, through trusted partners while Shepard & Stone prepares its first home.
