Do I have to be a Christian?
No. Everyone who is willing to pursue sobriety and can live safely in the house is welcome, whatever they believe. Faith activities are encouraged, never forced.
Is Shepard & Stone tied to a denomination?
No. Shepard & Stone is non-denominational and not affiliated with any one church. Residents may attend the church of their choice.
Does faith replace treatment?
No. Prayer and Scripture do not replace detox, medical care, psychiatric care or therapy. At Shepard & Stone they go together.
What is biblical counseling?
Counseling that draws on Scripture to help a person understand their life and recovery. At Shepard & Stone it will be offered alongside licensed clinical therapy, not instead of it.
